Hosted at the UN Office at Geneva, along with 700 leaders from 150 countries, primarily from the Global South.

31 January 2025

Our AI products aim to make the public sector an even better place to work, and help employees provide high-quality, democratic services to residents.

Ley Muller, Senior AI Product Manager, represented Public 360° at the AI for Developing Countries Forum at UN Office in Geneva.

Ley works with AI governance in the AI & Insights team in Public 360° (part of our Case management software portfolio), led by Sebastian Reichmann, within Tietoevry Industry.

The first keynote session by WTO Deputy-Director Johanne Hill addressed a major focus of the event:  "Frameworks for Responsible AI Governance".

We in Tietoevry Industry and the Public360° unit is committed to using AI to change the way our societies function, and positively impacting our daily lives, particularly through enabling the public sector to democratically handle an increasing amount of expectations and resource constraints. Another take-away from AIFODGeneva2025 was the need to center diverse voices, needs, and concerns regarding AI, in solution development. Public360° is proud that our AI governance by design process – first created in 2022 - folds in customer and user input from day 1 of product development. From product team bias awareness workshops to customer ethics workshops, our AI products are anchored in our Responsible AI principles:

  • AI products should provide value to citizens and customers,
  • Be designed based on their needs,
  • Give them a better day at work,
  • Be safe, secure, reliable, and respect their privacy,
  • Be fair,

  • and be accessible and inclusive. For example, public sector employees who speak Norwegian as their second language, should get just as much benefit from our AI products!

Our Public 360° AI products aim to make the public sector an even better place to work, and help employees provide high-quality, democratic services to residents.

"Seeking out diversity of thought and being very aware of who is at the table during the development process is crucial to avoid the privileged tunnel vision." - says Ley Muller in Tietoevry.
